Let's get ready for Halloween! Create fun 2-dimensional masks from the simplest designs to some that are complex! Bring in old shirts and mittens/gloves to complete your costumes. Workshop begins with a pizza dinner (included in the cost of the workshop).

"Meet the Instruments Day" - Free! Saturday, October 16, 2010 - 10:00-11:30 am in the Main Gallery

Does your child want to learn to play an instrument but isn't sure which one? In addition to a student's interest and curiosity, physical attributes come into play in making the right choice. If an instrument is correctly chosen, the student will become a more successful and happy musician.

During this event, children can select from flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, drum, violin, cello and piano and actually try the instruments. Representatives from Pfabe's Music will provide the instruments and offer a special 3 month FREE instrument rental when an agreement is signed during this special event. FAA faculty and current students, along with Pfabe's music representatives, assist students & parents. Meet the Instruments Day is free to attend, but please call 440-951-7500 to let us know you are coming.


T-Shirt Making Workshop (ages 10-14) Friday, October 22, 2010 - 6:15-8:00 pm
Grab some friends and some t-shirts and get ready for Friday night fun! This workshop begins with a pizza dinner, followed by a hands-on opportunity to create your own t-shirt. Techniques employed to create your wearable art include bleach splatter and stamping. (Please bring 2 t-shirts with you, one black or dark blue and one white, pre-washed.) Perfect for a birthday party group before a sleepover!

Did you know that the field of Music Therapy has been around for 60 years?! Come celebrate and learn more about this unique field in which the process of music-making experiences is used to promote physical, social and emotional health and well-being. Stop by and learn more, join in an art-making activity, some music-making and fun! This is a morning for ALL and it's FREE! No registration needed. Just drop in.

A great way to spend a fun Saturday afternoon with the family. All supplies provided, but participants are welcome to bring any recycled greeting cards, gift wrap or wrapping paper to use and/or share.
