Does your child enjoy puppet shows, cartoon characters and nursery rhymes? If so, your child will love this class. Students participate in theatrical games and socially engaging exercises that encourage their speech and motor skills development. Through creative interaction with other children of the same age, communication and socialization skills are also emphasized. Mark your calendars - Family and friends will adore their performance on Sharing Day during the final class.

Play by Play (ages 6-8)

It's always fun to play! Come make new friends and explore all the worlds of your imagination in this exciting and captivating theatre class! Students work together to develop their very own play by playing! Family and friends are invited to a fun performance on Sharing Day during the final class.

Silly Shenanigans (ages 8-10)

If you are a Shel Silverstein fan or you just love acting wickedly silly, this class is for you. In this theatre class, you BECOME the caricatures that Shel creates in his off-the-wall, slyly giddy mind. Leave your everyday ordinary humdrum lives at home and step into the skins of wildly imaginative, cunningly clever, vivacious characters. Character development, monologue preparation and auditioning skills are emphasized. Family and friends will laugh out loud at the performance on Sharing Dayduring the final class.

Story Theatre (ages 9-11)

Bring stories to life! Come read a variety of scripts and learn to tell a story in an engaging way. Students learn acting techniques including intonation, gestures, character development, scene study and more. Class culminates in a performance for family and friends on Sharing Day during the final class.

Theatre Improv for Kids (ages 9-11) Sorry, this class has been cancelled due to low enrollment.  Please try Silly Shenanigans (TS906) or Story Theatre (TS907).

Do you love shows like “Whose Line is it Anyway?” Explore the exciting world of theatre improvisation, where we make up the scenes as we go along and anything goes! Students learn how to create instant scenes and stories that stretch the imagination and boost confidence on stage. The final class is an "improv show" Sharing Day for family and friends.

How to Fake a Fight (ages 12-18) Sorry, this class has been cancelled.

Put up your dukes and learn how to do stage combat without anyone getting hurt. David Malinowski shows you the safe way to fake a punch, how to be "punched" and how to fall down theatrically and…safely. This fun class gets you comfortable with the physical aspects of stage combat, so you will be ready for that next big fight scene! Bring soft-type kneepads to the first class.

Musical Theatre 101 (ages 12-18)

How do you bring music to life on stage? Come find out! Learn the elements of a song, the meaning behind the lyrics and how to create an unforgettable piece of musical theatre. Discover how to use musical notation and acting techniques to WOW the audience. Gain insight into the methods used by composers and what they mean to you as a performer. This class culminates with a showcase performance on Sharing Day for family and friends during the final class.
