Preschool Arts (ages 3-5)
Preschoolers sing, dance and create works of art as they explore the world around them from snowflakes to spring flowers and baby animals. Students rotate through music, art and dance classes exploring one subject each week. Please dress your child in loose, comfortable clothes. Ballet slippers or regular shoes are recommended for the dance class. No socks only, please. There will be a short parent/student orientation on the first day of class. The class ends with a Sharing Day performance where students delight family and friends. Sharing Day is held during the last regular class scheduled.

Arts Collaboration (ages 6-8) Sorry, this class has been cancelled due to insufficient enrollment.
Introduce your child to art, dance, music and theatre in one exciting, interactive experience. A common theme is used to tie together all the arts, and culminates with a Sharing Day performance for family and friends. Please dress children in loose, comfortable clothing. Ballet slippers or regular shoes should be worn for the dance sessions. Sharing Day will be held during the last regular class scheduled.

Desktop Publishing & Graphic Design (ages 13 to adult) Choose either Level I or Level II.

So you want to learn more about graphic design? Come see what it's really all about! Students in this class are presented with a range of relevant design topics, and use software titles such as Adobe Photoshop® and InDesign®! Whether you have experience in digital art or are simply interested in building your skills, this class is for you. Come just to learn the basics or come to experiment with cutting edge techniques. Learn how to design documents, integrate photography and create your own personal project or one for your professional portfolio. Feel free to bring your digital photos, CDs, camera, and ideas! You will also want to bring a notebook and writing utensil to take notes. Plenty of individualized instruction will take your idea from concept to completion while you learn something new.

Does your pre-schooler love it when you read nursery rhymes to them? If so, they will love this class where nursery rhymes become clever art projects. Children work with basic colors and shapes using paint, yarn, ink and paper to make fun creations. Songs and plays are also used. Each class ends with a "mini performance" for family and friends in the Main Gallery that incorporate the students' project of the day.

Students' imaginations are encouraged by creating 3-D projects in paper, clay, plastic, wood, wire and more.

A Rainbow Full of Fairy Tales (ages 6-8) Choose one session.
More than a pot of gold can be found at the end of this rainbow. Students in this class create colorful 2-D and 3-D art projects using their vivid imaginations. Gingerbread people, Jack and the Beanstalk, Hansel & Gretel and other fairy tale characters come alive using clay, paint, paper mache, chalk and a rainbow of other craft materials.

Young Daubers (ages 9-11)Please note:  This class begins 9/15/08 and ends 1/12/09.
Observation and imagination are developed using various art media such as pencils, pen & ink, pastels, crayons, watercolor and collage.

Do you love to paint? In this class you can paint like crazy. Students experience the joy of colors, textures and different styles of painting using temperas, acrylics, watercolors and more. Projects have seasonal themes, so if you have taken this class before, you can improve your technique while creating all new projects.

Join us for a theme-based class exploring various topics in art and using a variety of materials. Through drawing, painting and various mixed media, students create art with themes in animals, nature, emotions, work and play and more!

Comic Book Creation! (ages 9-11)
Love comic books? Love to draw? Spend 16 weeks creating your own comic book. Students work from concept to final product, learning how to create their own characters and settings and understanding how these components work together with size, proportion, props and body language to produce a variety of personalities.

Drawing (ages 9-11)
Learn to draw both descriptively and expressively using pencil, pen & ink, charcoal and color. Subjects range from landscapes, people and animals to imaginative creatures.

Portrait Painting (adult & high school seniors)
This is an advanced class that is perfect for the person who wants to learn how to capture a likeness on canvas using oils. Students will sharpen their powers of observation, progress individually, and develop their unique talents to a higher level of competence. Tuition includes model fee. Prerequisite: Previous drawing experience and painting skills. Class begins October 20 and ends December 15, 2008
